I am available for appointments both in person at my office and online:

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 09:00–17:00 (last session starting at 16:00)

Tuesday: Online sessions only from 09:00–17:00

Each session lasts approximately 50 minutes.

The office is located at Sophialaan 21, 1075 BL, Amsterdam.

Payment is made via bank transfer.
Each session costs €105.

This is an independent practice and is not affiliated with Dutch health insurance providers.
However, many international insurance providers reimburse therapy costs. To check whether your therapy is covered, please review the terms of your medical plan or contact your insurance provider directly.

Sessions can be scheduled either at the office or online. I offer flexibility, so you can notify me on the same day if you’d prefer to switch from a face-to-face appointment to an online session.

Cancellations are free of charge if made at least 24 hours in advance.
Switching an in-person appointment to an online session is always possible and free of charge, even with same-day notice.

Privacy and Confidentiality

As a registered Psychologist, I adhere to the Professional Code for Psychologists of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP registration N. 242019) and the ethical standards of the Italian Association of Psychologists (Trento Province Psychologist registration N. 852).

I am committed to providing you with high-quality psychological and professional care, following the practices and guidelines of these organizations. All information shared during our sessions is treated as strictly confidential, unless otherwise required by the Psychologists’ code of conduct.

You are hereby informed about the following points regarding data protection regulation, in compliance with EU 2016/679 GDPR.

Dr Laura Fontanari is the “controller” of personal data collection, which includes:

• Personal information: Name, address, phone number, email address, and payment details.

• Health information: Data concerning physical and mental health, collected for evaluation, examination, rehabilitation, or any professional service related to counseling.

Personal data refers to the above categories, collected electronically and on paper.
Professional data includes all professional information gathered during sessions (evaluations, interpretations, and considerations). Both personal and professional data are stored and used in accordance with GDPR principles and the Psychologists’ code of ethics. 


Data will be securely stored for the time necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, (and for a max of 5 years after the end of the service).
After this period, all data will be permanently destroyed.

You have the right to request access to your personal data in accordance with Articles 15 and 22 of the GDPR. This includes the right to request modification, cancellation, limitation, copies, or the transfer of your information to another controller.

All registered psychologists in the Netherlands are required to have a formal complaints procedure available on their website (see the  (NIP Model Complaints and Disputes Regulations). Complaints can be filed with the Central Bureau for Complaints Management in Healthcare (CBKZ) via [email protected] or by registered mail: CBKZ, Antwoordnummer 570, 4200 WB Gorinchem, using the form (called Klachtenformulier) you can find here.
