Practical information

You can schedule a session by sending me a message through the contact form or emailing me. The email address is [email protected]
You can also call me, 0685069130. If I miss your call, apologie, and please send me an email so I can follow up.

I am available for scheduling appointments both at the office and online on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00 until 16:00 (the last session of the day ending by 17:00).
On Tuesday, I work online only.

A session lasts about 50 minutes.

The office is locate in Sophialaan 21, 1075BL, Amsterdam.
For online sessions, I organize a meeting through Google Meets.

Payment is done through bank transfer.
Each session costs 105 euros.

This is an independent practice, not affiliated with Dutch health insurance providers.
Many international insurance providers will reimburse the costs of your therapy. To check whether therapy will be covered, please consult the conditions of your medical plan or contact your insurance provider.

We can schedule sessions both at the office or online. I am very flexible: you can notify me on the same day to meet online instead of f2f.

The notice window is 24 hours for free cancellation.
Re-arranging appointments from in-person to online is always an option and free of charge, also on same-day-notice.

Privacy and Confidentiality

As a registered Psychologist, I observe the Professional Code for Psychologists of the Nederlands Instituut van Psychologen (NIP registration N. 242019) and the ethical standards of the Italian Association of Psychologists (Trento Province Psychologist registration, N. 852). Therefore, I provide you with quality psychological and professional care as established by the practice and guidelines of the organizations. All the services and information shared in our sessions are confidential unless differently specified by the Psychologists’ code of conduct.

You are informed about the following points regarding data protection regulation (according to UE 2016/679 G DPR ).

Dr Laura Fontanari is the ”controller” of the personal data collection: 

  • Personal information, address, contact and payment – such as name, address, phone number, email address and payment 
  • Health information: information regarding physical and mental health is collected for evaluation, examination, rehabilitation or any professional service related to counselling 

Personal data refers to the above categories, collected electronically and on paper. Professional data refers to all the professional information the psychologist collects during sessions (evaluations, interpretations, considerations). Both data will be stored and used according to GDPR principles and Psychologists’ code of ethics. 

Data will be safely stored only for the necessary time needed to reach the goal for which they have been collected (and for a max of 12 months after the end of the service). They will then be destroyed. 

In a specific situation, you can request access to personal data as per articles 15 and 22 (modification, cancellation or limitation, copy or provide the information to another controller).

All registered psychologists working in the Netherlands must have a formal complaints procedure available on their website (NIP Model Complaints and Disputes Regulations). Complaints can be filed with the Central Bureau for Complaints Management in Healthcare (CBKZ) via [email protected] or by registered mail: CBKZ, Antwoordnummer 570, 4200 WB Gorinchem, using the form (called Klachtenformulier) you can find here.
